Job Description
RCL Foods is seeking for Safety Officer to be part of our group at the Pongola Site. The reason for this function is to advocate administration and put into effect safety-related measures in line with the OHS Act, and other relevant legislation, as well as hold MARSH, integrated security systems. The successful incumbent will file to the IMS Manager.

Minimum Requirements
National Diploma in Safety Management or equal skills in Occupational, Health, and Safety;
A minimal of 3 years of working journey on safety, health, and environmental troubles in a heavy or medium engineering industry;
Computer literacy (proficiency in Microsoft Office) is essential;
Facilitation and teaching skills
Knowledge of threat evaluation methodology
Knowledge of fireplace safety tools and furnace prevention techniques
Well-developed interpersonal and conversation skills

Duties & Responsibilities
Ensure that Corporate SHE policies, standards, and procedures are implemented and adhered to;
Act as an adviser in all incident investigations, make positive they are closed, and test the effectiveness of preventive measures taken;
Update and maintain a report of all legal appointments in accordance with the company policies, procedures, and standards;
Administer Accident Prevention the use of the MARSH Integrated System in session with Management;
Conduct SHE training needs, make recommendations, and organize SHE training;
Facilitate SHE induction for all employees and contractors and preserve all applicable documents on file;
Make records on hand to the enterprise to allow improvement in the perception of Safety, Health and Environment, and Quality standards and procedures
Observe and right deviations and/ or talk serious breaches of safety, housekeeping, and hygiene codes to the immediate superior.
