Detailed description
The successful candidate will be accountable for the following key performance areas:
Conduct get right of entry to and egress control in the areas of operation.
Conduct guarding, patrolling and escorting duties to safeguard the facility against unlawful and/or unauthorised activity.
Identify, respond to and file all security and emergency threats, alerts and situations underneath all conditions.
Monitor, preserve and make certain the ultimate utilisation of all safety systems, equipment and signals.
Perform evacuations and emergency drills throughout emergencies.
Perform administrative obligations such as report-writing and finishing digital prevalence books and pocketbooks.
Proactively broaden understanding of practical area, exhibiting willingness to make upgrades (including strategies and practices).
Qualifications
To be viewed for this position, candidates ought to have:
a Grade 12 certificates or an equivalent NQF 4 qualification;
a Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA) Grade C qualification;
a competency certificate in the dealing with of firearms (i.e. a 9 mm pistol, a semi-automatic rifle and a shotgun);
a minimal of two to 5 years of working ride in a security environment;
sound information and understanding of relevant legislation, including, however no longer confined to, the National Key Points (NKP) Act 102 of 1980 and Regulations, the Firearms Control Act 60 of 2000, the Criminal Procedure Act 51 of 1977, as properly as all the policies, techniques and operational guidelines of the SARB touching on to the use of firearms;
a level of medical, psychological and physical fitness commensurate with the inherent requirements of the position;
