Requirements: Basic ABET qualification. Ability to operate cleaning equipment (machines). Ability to read and write. Able to work in a team. Must be prepared to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays as well as being rotated to different wards or sections within the institution. Punctuality and good work ethics. Must have the ability to work under enormous pressure.

Duties: Perform cleaning services of a routine nature by utilizing a variety of aids. Cleaning of hospital and clinics, departments, offices, corridors, elevators, boardrooms, kitchens, windows, and toilets/restrooms by: Doing high dusting, scrub downs, and other related cleaning tasks. Keep and maintain cleaning materials and equipment. Report broken cleaning machines and equipment. Cleaning of machines and equipment after use. Request cleaning material. Rotate within the scope of work. Perform any other work-related duties as instructed by the supervisor.

The Z83 form is obtainable from any Public Service Department or on the internet at www.dpsa.gov.za/documents. The CV should be recently updated and specifies the following: All experiences should be in chronological order indicating the position, institution, and respective dates, indicating the starting and ending period (DD/MM/YYYY). The information on the new Z83 must be the same as that on the CV. Only shortlisted candidates will be required/requested to submit certified copies of qualifications and other relevant documents on or before the day of the interview following communication from HR. Failure to submit any of the requested documents will result in the application not being considered.
