SALARY : R216 417 per annum
CENTRE : Tygerberg Hospital, Parow Valley

REQUIREMENTS : Minimum educational qualifications: General Education and Training Certificate (GETC) – Grade 9/ (Std. 7) and Food Certificate. Experience: Appropriate experience in a food service environment. Appropriate experience in a large-scale kitchen. Appropriate supervisory experience. Inherent requirements of the job: Ability to do physical tasks. Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Literacy with sound numerical skills. Ability to work according to the rules and standards and to meet deadlines. Good interpersonal, communication, organisational and writing skills. Knowledge and ability to handle industrial equipment. Knowledge of applicable legislation and policies or nutrition and different diets of largescale food preparation according to standardised recipes. Knowledge of pest and infection control. Computer literacy.

DUTIES : Strategically supervise the Food Service Unit. Control operational food services. Implement and check hygiene and occupational health and safety. Check the maintenance and control of apparatus and equipment. Implement the principles of Human resources. Implement financial management.
